Collaboration with DCU to research and develop a Pro Active Cooling Technology - "PACT100"
Citadel100 are pleased to announce that this week we launched a new collaboration with the Performance Engineering Laboratory at Dublin City University (DCU) to research and develop a Pro Active Cooling Technology - "PACT100".
DUBLIN/IRELAND, OCTOBER 20TH 2010 – CITADEL100, a member of the Keppel Group, and one of Europe’s leading and most innovative Datacenter owner and operators, specialising in designing, developing and operating 100% availability Next Generation Datacenters, are pleased to announce that this week we launched a new collaboration with the Performance Engineering Laboratory at Dublin City University (DCU) to research and develop a Pro Active Cooling Technology - "PACT100". This technology is designed to predict heat buildup within our Colo rooms and allocate cooling by utilising innovative algorithms for high accuracy and focuses on “Energy-Aware Networking" to increase our Power Usage Efficiency (PUE).
This research is been conducted with Dublin City University with the support of the Irish Research Council for Science, Engineering and Technology (IRCSET) Postgraduate Enterprise Partnership Scheme. We view this research as a vital tool in addressing the needs of our client’s requirements for high power density and efficient use of cooling equipment through Continual Monitoring and Predictive Cooling. In partnering with Dublin City University we are delighted to have access to some of the best Scientific Minds that this State is developing. We believe that this collaboration will be the first of many more with Dublin City University and hope that this will help increase awareness of the Irish Data Center Industry as a World Leader.”
